Piping is a narrow trim sewn into the seam around the edge of a cushion. As trained tailors, we take care to keep it straight and even, because a neat edge is what makes the whole cushion look finished.
Why choose black piping?
Black piping gives a cushion a sharp outline that stands out against a pale sofa or bed. It works especially well with monochrome and neutral fabrics, and it ties a mix of patterns together when every cushion shares the same edge. Most of our designs use black, with other contrasting colours on some fabrics.
Are piped cushions good for a sofa?
Yes, the piped edge holds a clean line, so the cushion keeps looking smart on a sofa that gets daily use. These sit nicely beside softer fringed cushions for contrast in texture. Choose a cover only, or add a duck feather inner for a fuller shape.
How long does delivery take?
Every cushion is made to order and despatched within 10 working days. UK delivery by Royal Mail is £3.60, and international orders go by Royal Mail International Tracked for £17, delivered duty paid. Want to check a colour first? Get in touch to ask for a fabric sample before you order.
