About our bolster cushions

A bolster is the long, round cushion that sits in front of the pillows on a bed or along the arm of a sofa. We make ours by hand in our Blackburn studio, so each one is cut and sewn for you after you order.

What size is a bolster cushion?

Our bolsters measure 16x6 inches, a long, slim shape that sits neatly in front of a pair of pillows on a double or king size bed. It also fits along the arm of most sofas and armchairs. You can order a cover only or a bolster with a duck feather inner, from about £35 to £50.

How do you style a bolster on a bed?

Place the bolster in the centre of the bed, in front of your pillows and any square cushions. It works best in a fabric that picks up a colour from your bedding or curtains. For a hotel finish, add a luxury bed runner across the foot of the bed in a matching design.

Can I have a bolster personalised?

Yes, our personalised bolsters carry an embroidered name or monogram and make a lovely gift for a new baby. You will find them in our personalised cushions collection. Every bolster is made to order and despatched within 10 working days, with UK delivery by Royal Mail for £3.60.
